The noose tightens around Milosevic. The Serbian government arrested former Serbian secret police chief Rade Markovic, a major Milosevic ally and a Milosevic regime enforcer. Rumors in Belgrade say Markovic may be connected to the October 1999 attempted assassination of Serbian Renewal Movement leader Vuk Draskovic (and attempted murder-by-auto). Draskovic survived but was injured.
